Natural weight loss should be the most natural thing you do. It should be pleasure, not torture.
Have you ever watched a little girl eat an ice cream cone?
She is tickled at the site of it as she delicately takes it into her hand, probably both hands. She looks at it. Yummy. Strawberry, her favorite flavor.
She begins to lick. One lick at a time. Each time enjoying the taste. No rush. The process continues. No gulping. Pure food enjoyment at it's best.
As all moms know, your little girl has no concept that the ice cream will melt. Nor is she dismayed when it drips all over her hand. Or, if it gets on her dress.
She is just enjoying the ice cream. Without all those other concerns.
She isn't thinking about her weight, or how she will look physically. What's that got to do with it?
It's the taste. The fun of the ice cream. The coolness, the sweetness. It's yummy.
She's in that moment.
Yet, the food is not all consuming either. If her brother kicks her under the table, she will wrestle back. She's not concerned that it interrupted her eating.
In fact, if she's far enough into the process and the whole thing plops on the floor - she may look at mom to see - what now? But she's not upset.
In fact, when she's had enough, she will hand the rest over to mom with an "I'm done."
She's had enough. It doesn't matter that only half of one scoop got eaten. Or that it fell on the floor and was wasted. She got her ice cream. She enjoyed it. "Now can I go and play on the swings, mom?"
What natural weight loss technique can we learn from this. Little girls really do have it right when it comes to eating.
* Eat what you love and enjoy it to the fullest.
* Totally experience that moment and you will be satisfied - you won't want more.
* Don't worship food, it's just food. You eat it, you're done. Even foot wrestling with your brother under the table might be more important.
* We are all told that we must eat certain things and avoid others. There are so many rules and restrictions, it's a wonder we do as well as we do.
The pleasure of eating is important. You want to be satisfied with what you eat, or you'll just go searching for more. Make sure your natural weight loss plan includes the foods you really love.
And when you eat them, enjoy them completely. Little girls really do have it right.
